Five new officers were welcomed to the roster of Westchester County Police Department this week, being sworn in on Monday by acting Commissioner Martin McGlynn.

Among the recruits who were sworn in are Officers Peter Carcaterra, Jeff Hunt, Adam Mietlowski, Mill Lau and Jason Washco, who were promoted in front of a crowd of friends, family and well-wishers.

With their training complete, the five recruits will join the regular police patrol later this year.

“We wish them a safe and successful career with the best job anywhere,” police officials posted on Facebook this week, following the ceremony.
